BEHIND THE SCENES
This is a scene I modeled, lit and textured in Maya. The goal of the project was to create a photoreal scene with a variety of different objects and materials. The lighting was a bit challenging but I learned a lot. I even got to work with a little image-based lighting to add some realism. Below are a few wireframe closeups of some of the appliances.
Here's some process shots of a personal project I created to explore 3d effects animation. I modeled, textured, and lit the scene in Maya, and used Maya fluids to create the candle flames. You can see them in motion over on the animation page.
This project came out of a 3D bagel asset I modeled for a team animation project I'm currently working on. The goal was to make it as photoreal as possible. I took it an extra step and created a simple environment for it. I modeled and textured it in Maya, with a little extra sculpting done on the cream cheese in Mudbox.
